Simpli menus show small chips next to dishes to help you choose — sugar grades on drinks, calorie counts, and a high-sodium flag. Here's how to read them.
Sugar grades A–D (drinks only)
Non-alcoholic drinks can carry a sugar grade from A (no sugar) to D (high sugar), using the same A–D scale you know from Nutri-Grade labels in Singapore. One honest note: these grades are entered by the restaurant on Simpli — they are not the official HPB Nutri-Grade mark you see on packaged drinks.
Calories
Dishes and drinks may show an estimated calorie count (kcal). These are estimates provided by the restaurant, and not every item has one — a missing number just means the restaurant hasn't entered it.
High sodium
Saltier dishes may carry a High sodium flag, useful if you're watching your salt intake.
Halal, vegetarian and vegan
When you browse restaurants on Simpli, you may see restaurant-level badges like Halal, Vegetarian or Vegan — these describe the restaurant's certification or the options it offers, as declared by the restaurant.
The important fine print
- All nutrition information is provided by the restaurant and may be incomplete or approximate.
- Simpli's labels are general guidance, not medical advice. They can't account for your personal health conditions.
- If you have a food allergy, always check with the restaurant's staff before ordering. Menus can't capture everything that happens in a kitchen, and staff are the right people to confirm ingredients and preparation.
